Candle Ingredients
-
100% Soy Wax
After a ton of research, I found out that soy wax is made from soy beans that are domestically grown right here in the United States. The soy bean oil is eco-friendly, renewable, naturally biodegradable, and water soluble—which makes it easier to clean.
Unlike paraffin wax that many candles are commonly made of (which often comes from foreign petroleum oil).

Phthalate-free Fragrances
Phthalates are esters of phthalic acid, more commonly used to in household goods, cleaning products, pharmaceuticals, building materials In reference to candles, phthalate may be used within fragrance oils to help extend the strength scent of a candle by acting as a binding agent.
Extensive contact with phthalates can trigger a multitude of health concerns such as asthma, ADHD , breast cancer, obesity, type II diabetes, neuro-developmental issues, autism, and reproductive development issues. Simple low exposure to phthalates will most likely not cause harm, but continued and high exposure to these chemicals is what is concerning. Phthalates come in many different forms, and although not all have been tested, regular exposure to phthalates are found to be harmful.

Cotton Wicks
All of my candle wicks are constructed from all-natural, ring-spun cotton. They do not contain zinc, lead, or any other metals.
These pre-tabbed candle wicks have a high-melt point wax coating comprised of vegetable wax and beeswax. CD wicks are braided with thin paper threads, while LX wicks are flat-braided, 100% cotton.
The wick tab is made of steel and is crimped onto the end of the wick.
